There's No Place Like the Shoe Department.

Having grown up watching the "Wizard of Oz" at least 51,000 times and being well-known for my love of red shoes, this made my day. For the 70th anniversary of the flick, Swarovski has gotten together with some of the best shoe designers on Earth to re-imagine what Dorothy would wear for ruby slippers today. I have to say, she's looking good. Best part is they're being auctioned off to benefit the Elisabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. Apparently more than just the tinman got a heart!

Vivier's shoe has beautiful lines, wow. You'd definitely need the right kind of foot to wear it, not nearly as forgiving as the Jimmy Choo, but the strength of it is awesome (plus the proper homage to the classic Dorothy shoe is nice). Great post!

love your post alita!! Every female (and want to be) on earth should own a pair of red sparkly shoes, for those special occasions when only they will do.
You know, Target has sparkle shoes in red and silver for little girls. Soleil my 2 year old went wild when she saw them...i am making that purchase this weekend, thanks to your inspirational post.
