Patterns in Nature

I find amazing inspiration in nature. The colors...the textures...and most recently, the patterns. Stop and take a minute to look close and you will be astonished.

Feather Bouquets

Feather accents are being used by a great deal of brides—on shoes, in hairpieces and now in bouquets. What a fun way to make your wedding unique!

Pretty Plum Pocket

The line of pocket invitations by Marsupial on eInvite caught my eye today. Tucking all the pieces of a wedding ensemble into a neat little pocket and sealing with a custom seal definitely makes for stunning presentation. I couldn't resist pairing this plum pocket with the elegant Badgley Mischka bridesmaid's dress found on Brides.com and the amazing reception floral branch table centerpiece featured on Style Me Pretty.

Garden Florals

This spring, fashion takes a step back to watercolor florals in saturated orange, red and yellow hues. This is similar to styles seen in the early 90s, except with modern cuts and accessories. I love seeing how this trend has translated to paper. It's romantic and perfect for a spring wedding.

Mossy Morning

Gorgeous green growth is sprouting! Check out the verdant hues in Pottery Barn's centerpieces (Carved Wooden Cachepot and Garden Ceramic Woven Collection) and the lushness of the succulent boutonniere found on InStyle Weddings. The two correspondence cards in shades of moss green are design perfection: Moss Bordered Ecru Card by Crane & Co. and Alight by Checkerboard available on eInvite.

Inspiring Textiles

Anthropologie has a great new line of pillows, which showcase the hottest spring trends of tribal prints and sketched florals. As a designer, I find the patterns and colors very inspiring. And as a consumer, I have my eye on the bottom right orange one!

Painterly Florals

Spring is just arround the corner and I can't help but be inspired by these lovely hand-painted florals. Maybe it's because it's 71 degrees in the office right now, but I swear, I can almost feel the warm air and smell the spring grass when I look at these images...just almost.

Floral Inspiration

I love how texture and color and play off one another in these floral arrangements. They are eye-catching, trendy, sophisticated and very inspiring.

Alice in (Winter) Wonderland

Add a little yellow to the usual green and a take a little away from the regular red and you'll have a spectrum of hues like magenta, blush, chartreuse and moss to bring some whimsy to your holiday home. Bring in some forest friends, experiment with pattern, light and scale. There's definitely some magic to be found in these psychedelic seasonals.
